Christianity Without Suffering Is Dead!

Hello Guys and Gals!

I want to talk to you today about what you will go through as a true Christian! Many people say that once you accept Him into your life that everything will be like walking in a rose garden! This is simply not true! The truth is that you will be constantly tested in your faith, not only about your beliefs, but also about how you respond to these tests!

'Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.' Romans 5:1-5.

We will go through tribulations as believers! We will go through persecutions as believers! If you are not offending those who are in the world with the truth of Jesus Christ, then you're not speaking TRUTH! A friend of mine reminded me of this last night. He told me to put behind me the fact that some people I know do not want to associate with me anymore because of what I am saying about the Gospel and Jesus Christ! I guess this is one of the tribulations I am intended to go through!

'we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.' 2 Corinthians 4:8-11.

Paul wrote this to prove that, as Christians, we will go through sufferings and persecutions in our walk with Jesus Christ!

'Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.' Hebrews 12:1-2.

Still, knowing that we shall suffer trial and tribulation and persecution, we should still run the race set before us in an effort to win the race! Please understand that this is a race of endurance and not a quick dash! God will give us the strength to endure in this race if we only rely upon Him! Then we too can enjoy the rewards of our striving when we reunite with Jesus in Heaven!

God bless you all today!

  1. Now you're getting it. Since my family and I have been honoring the Lords Sabbath and studying God's word, we have become outcasts even to some of our own family members. This is proof positive that we are on the right track. How many preachers and so called spiritual leaders ride the fence? "Lets not offend with the truth". Well the truth of our Lord is offensive to the world and therefore God's people are offensive to people of the world. The masses are decieved in so many ways but mainly the so-called religious leaders are the ones afraid to say the truth....Joel Olsteen- I am not afraid to say that there is one way to God and that is through Yeshua! I am not afraid to say that other religions(muslims, hindus,"catholics" etc.) need to turn to Yeshua for their salvation and turn away from their false religions.(note I put the Catholic church into that group because the Bible proves it is a False religion) Benny Hinn- I am not afraid to say that you are a liar and a thief! Charismatics- I am not afraid to tell you that your convulsions and speaking jibberish is demonic possession and not of God! Speak the truth for God's favor and if the world/people don't like it? So be it.

  2. Preach it brother! Yes this is the friend I was referring to! I thank God for him and his wisdom as well as God's wisdom that shows up in him.

Me and my friend don't always agree on everything. But we know this about each other, we are both bought and paid for by the blood of Christ. That and we are definitely on the right path because we do offend others with what we are saying even when we say it in the love of Christ! One thing to add, neither one of us will ever not speak the truth about Jesus!
